Vita

After spending a few years on the Scottish island of Skye, I am back in Switzerland. I am delighted to continue my work as a piano teacher and choir director here.

Until 2020, I taught piano at the Dornach Youth Music School for 23 years. I also worked as a music teacher at secondary schools in Dornach and Liestal for 10 years. On the Isle of Skye, I taught piano to children and teenagers and conducted a small choir.

My motivation as a piano teacher and music educator

I really enjoy introducing pupils to the world of music and accompanying them on their musical journey. It is important to me to meet the students where they are personally, musically and pianistically.

As the mother of three grown-up, creative sons, I know how important and enriching learning an instrument is. I’m thinking of expanding cognitive abilities, the joy of making music in general and the promotion of social awareness when playing together.

Classical music as a foundation

Personally I consider Classical Music to be my pianistic foundation. In Classical Music I obtained my diploma as a piano teacher.

Through further training, I have explored jazz over the years. It is wonderful for me to explore the sound world of extended chords on the piano, to understand the structures of different rhythms and to test my abilities in the field of free improvisation. is an enrichment I wouldn`t want to miss.
